Laurence performed at my parents house for a small group of family members for Dad’s 80th birthday. My Dad had just returned home from the hospital from having knee surgery, so he was not very mobile. He couldn’t leave the house, and I wanted to do something special for his 80th. Well, I could not have come up with a better idea! I had contacted Laurence by phone a week or two earlier, and told him what the situation was (in my dad’s house, small audience, 80th birthday, etc) and he said he could tailor a performance for 30 minutes, an hour, or anywhere in between. He mentioned what kind of stuff he would do, and it sounded good to me.
Well, it is not often that expectations are exceeded as much as they were that day. He was 10 times better than I even expected. The life of the party! Everyone really enjoyed it. The age range of the group was 23 to 80…He performed what he called “close up” magic, involving all 6 people in the room. And, on a Sunday, the exact day of my Dad’s birthday, as well.
I would hire him again for any size group, he was absolutely fantastic!!!

"Although a little tardy in our response, please rest assured that we were absolutely more than delighted with your performance of amazing magic for our family gathering.
From the youngest (age 6) to the oldest (age 72) we were all entertained both by the humorous banter and the magical tricks that kept us laughing and guessing "How'd he do that?". Since there were only 10 of us we each had a close-up seat for keen observation, and still we had no clue as to how you caused certain surprises to occur. However, later in the evening, following much discussion and guessing, we finally came to a unanimous conclusion . . . why, of course, it was just MAGIC.
We thought you might like to know your teach-in turned out to be a wonderful experience for the children. Ages 6, 7, and 8 have taken their newly acquired skills and their magic tricks home to Phoenix and Seattle to share with their friends and classmates. Age 10, who is autistic and was hesitant to be a part of the teach-in, later learned the magical secrets from a sibling and two cousins and we are overjoyed to say is now sharing magic with summer camp friends.
If, in the future, we are ever in need of magical entertainment we would certainly like to avail ourselves of your service. Your magic show was a huge hit among the audience that we drew for our several performances of The Wizard of Oz. He kept the entire group entertained with his mystical magic of card tricks and string acts and multiplying balls. He always managed to mystify the group and to put a smile on all our faces. We had the pleasure to watch a magic show performed by Laurence Levy during our tour of Scotland in May and June of 2017.
After a long day of sightseeing, Laurence provided an amazing magic show with a combination of dazzling card tricks, sleight of hand tricks, and enjoyable jokes. We are able to figure out some tricks by other magicians, but Laurence's tricks contain unique twists that make us still wonder how he did it. Don't miss an opportunity to catch his show.
